Join hundreds of thousands taking a stand in Washington D.C. for life!  Everyone 13 years of age and older are invited to be a witness to the dignity of life for the unborn, elderly, and those who are sometimes regarded as useless.  We travel in a motorcoach with the Diocese of La Crosse.  This is for both Youth and Adults. 

Dates: January 22nd-26th, 2020
Cost: $330 for teens and $300 for chaperones.
 (Please note that the official red hoodie is an additional $30 if you don’t already have one)
Deposit of $175 due December 19th. Please write the check out to St. Johns parish, in the memo write Pilgrimage for life registration fee.  I have a box at both Christ the King (Spencer) and St. John the Baptist Marshfield.  You can turn it in to either parish office. Fundraising options and Need-based scholarships available.
 
Student Registration:
The items that need to be turned in for students age 13 to 17 (or 18 if in high school) are below.

1. Please complete the Child Medical Release Form attached below. This can be printed, filled out, and returned to David Alcott.  Or it can be printed, filled out, scanned and emailed to evangelize@frontier.com.  Or you can type in your information on a computer with a PDF editor such as Foxit Reader www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf-reader/.  After typing in your information, save it and email it to me at evangelize@frontier.com.  This last option can save time for future events, as you can leave it saved on your computer, and just change the fields relating to dates and the name of the event.

2.  Please write a check to St. Johns Parish for $175 (the deposit) and submit it to the St. John the Baptist (Marshfield) or Christ the King (Spencer) Parish office by December 12th.  If you have previous credit or any other special situation please contact me.  Thanks!

Chaperone/Junior Chaperone Registration:
The items needed for Junior Chaperones (age 18 and out of high school, or age 19 or 20), and the items needed for Chaperones (age 21 and up) are the same.  Here are the items:

1. Please fill out the basic background check form below.  The Diocese requires all chaperones to have a background check, and this has to be mailed in by you. It takes a week or two, and it must be completed before the event. This must be submitted every three years for all chaperones and junior chaperones.  If you have done this within the last three years (as a Catechist for example), skip this step.

4. Please complete the online Safe Environment training through this link. This must be completed annually for all chaperones and junior chaperones.  If you have already done this within the last year (as a Catechist for example, you can skip this step. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/safe-environment

5. Please complete the Adult Medical Release Form attached below. This can be printed, filled out, and returned to David Alcott.  Or it can be printed, filled out, scanned and emailed to evangelize@frontier.com or you can type in your information on a computer with a PDF editor such as Foxit Reader www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf-reader/.  After typing in your information, save it and email it to me at evangelize@frontier.com

The Jars for Life fundraiser is selling jar mixes to raise money specifically for the Pilgrimage for Life.  You can earn credit towards your trip by either filling the jars or selling the jars.  Sign up for this through this link to Sign up Genius.

Knights of Columbus Scholarships  The Knights are allocating $400 toward this trip, so this amount would be divided between eligible students.  Please contact me if you would like to be considered for this scholarship with a paragraph on your level of need for it. evangelize@frontier.com

March for Life Scholarship - $400

 
The Knights of Columbus supports and defends ALL life.  Council #1799 is making scholarships available.
 
1) High school or college student
2) Student, father or grandfather is a KC member
3) Youth Minister/ March for Life local coordinator will decide on how money should be distributed. Should go to students with the most need, does not have to be equal value to each.
4) Recipients donate time back to a KC fundraiser and/or give a short description of their experience afterward in the Knightlight.  (Appreciated but not required)

Diocese of La Crosse Scholarship
The Diocese of La Crosse has set aside funds to help students attend the Pigrimage for Life.  Please fill out the attached form and submit it.  The instructions for submission are at the bottom of the form.
