On behalf of all the members of the parish, I welcome you to our web site. The goal of this site is to provide as much information about our parish as possible whether you are just browsing or looking for greater detail about St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish. It provides information about what is going on in the parish and links to relevant sites.
St. John the Baptist Parish was established in 1877 after an influx of Catholics from Germany and Bohemia immigrated here to Marshfield. Shortly after it was founded, the parish built the first Catholic school to begin teaching the Catholic faith to its young parishioners. In conjunction with other parishes in the city, St. John’s established a Catholic high school in the 1950s. St. John’s has taken care of the spiritual needs of her members for over 125 years, and she will continue to do so for the years to come.
Let us know if we can be of spiritual service to you. St. John’s is a great parish in a great city in a great state!
Prayers and best wishes,
Fr. Charles Stoetzel
Pastor
