Save the date: “From Conflict to Communion” – Saint John’s will be hosting an ecumenical prayer service on Thursday, October 19th to thank God for increasing solidarity between Catholics and Lutherans. As you know, this year is the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Reformation. Please join us at 6:30 p.m. at St. John’s for an opportunity to pray with local Lutheran churches for ongoing reconciliation. This will not be a Mass, but a service with Scripture, prayer, and sacred music.
On Saturday, October 21st members of St. John’s Family Life Committee will meet at the Memorial for the Unborn at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. A rosary will be prayed with meditations on healing for all who have been harmed by the scourge of abortion. All are invited to join in. We will meet around 9:00am with the rosary starting shortly after. Please join our Family Life Committee! For more information contact Gretchen Gotz.
