Thanks for the memories! Please join me in thanking God for the generous service offered by both Father Maria Dass and Father Kuhn. As announced last weekend, Fr. Maria Dass is moving to La Crosse on May 15th to begin his work at Mayo Franciscan hospital. He’ll move to St. Mary’s in Viroqua and serve the people there as well as the folks in Coon Valley with his Capuchin brother, Father Joseph. Our beloved Father Kuhn is moving to St. Anne’s in Wausau on June 30th where he’ll serve for the next two years. He will be the chaplain at both Newman High School and Newman Middle School – for Columbus fans, this probably stings, as there’s no love for Newman in these parts! We are all better people for having known Fr. Kuhn and he’ll be sorely missed, even in the rectory. And lastly, please pray for our new associate priest, soon-to-be Father Daniel Sedlacek. I’ll give you more information about our new associate in the upcoming weeks. He’ll be ordained a priest in La Crosse on June 25th, so let’s storm Heaven for him with our sincere prayers!

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is beginning on September 8th, 2016 with full entrance into the church occurring at Easter of 2017. RCIA is the process whereby a person learns about the beautiful Catholic faith that we sometimes take for granted. Please pick up a brochure at the entrance of the church if you or someone you know is interested in becoming Catholic or if you just want to deepen your understanding of the faith. This will be an excellent way to grow closer to God by learning about Catholicism and how it promotes heroic goodness! For more information, contact Dcn. Jeff Austin at 715-676-3186 or Jane Gerend at 715-387-2019.

Women at the Well is a lay apostolate whose mission is to provide direction, hope and healing to women whose lives have taken a turn for reasons they may or may not understand and who, as a result, are experiencing emotional and/or spiritual distress. The goals of the ministry are to support women who are suffering by applying biblical and ecclesial principles to their lives and their situations through prayer and individual work with reliance on the Holy Spirit. It is not professional therapy, but an opportunity to "drink from" rather than "jump in". All sessions and inquiries are 100% confidential.
We will meet at 6:30pm in St. Francis Hall on May 19th. Questions? Call Judy at 715-305-2261.

Baptism Class for those requesting the baptism of their children will take place Tuesday, June 7, 5:30-8:00pm in Columbia Room. Pre-registration is required and you can do so by calling 715-384- 9565 ext 2. For those not registered in the parish, information will be given on how to do so. This class is for all parents of their first child and/or those who have not yet taken Father Martin’s Baptismal class

Save the dates: Our 4th Annual Parish Pull is scheduled for Friday, July 8th. Our 5th annual church picnic is scheduled for Sunday, August 14th. It’s not too early to mark your calendar and imagine all the fun we’ll have together this summer

Attention Engaged Couples: Registration is now open for the Married Love: Two Becoming One classes in Marshfield starting this fall. The dates for 2016-2017 are: August 20th, November 5th, February 18th, and April 8th. Couples should first contact their priest and then plan to attend a class at least six months before their wedding. Register early because classes fill quickly. To register, contact Alanna Hart at hart_alanna@yahoo.com or 715-650-7310.

Please consider signing up for one hour a week to adore our Lord. Openings are Fri. from 8-9am, Sat. 7-8pm and Sun. 1-2pm at Pope St. John Paul II Chapel. Why Adore: "It is a privilege that I cannot pass up that I could spend personal time with the God of the Universe face to face. Jesus is with us in spirit anytime, anyplace. Here He is with us in full comprehension." Call Jean at 715-387-0571 or Dale at 715-383-2262 for your holy hour or more information.
