Travels to Divine Mercy Convent, Mwanza, Tanzania
On July 16th a small group of St. John’s parishioners will be heading to Divine Mercy Convent in Tanzania. They will spend nearly two weeks there getting to know the Sisters of Our Lady Queen of Africa, seeing first-hand the convent we helped build, bring gifts that will further help the Sisters in their work, and learn ways we might continue to help them in the future. In planning this trip items were generously given from different groups to be given to the Sisters. So we say to those who contributed, "Asante sana!” (a Swahili word which means thank you very much)
The Marshfield Area Rosary Makers generously donated 560 hand-beaded rosaries for the Mission Team members to transport to Tanzania in July. The rosaries have been blessed by Fr. Martin and will be presented to the Sisters of Our Lady Queen of Africa. The Sisters will then distribute the rosaries to each student at the girl’s school run by the Sisters. What a blessing for each student to receive a hand-made, blessed rosary! Thank you Marshfield Area Rosary Makers for your thoughtful donation.
