Evenings of Recollection: The next Evening of Recollection will be held Thursday, October 5th from 6:30-8:00pm. Our Lady of Fatima is the theme for the night. The evening will begin by exposing the Blessed Sacrament followed by a half hour meditation. There will be time for silent adoration and confession. Benediction will close the evening. This Evening of Recollection will be held at Christ the King.
Baptism Class for those requesting the baptism of their children will take place Tuesday, October 3rd, 5:30-8:00pm in the Columbia Room. Pre-registration is required and you can do so by calling 715-384-9565 ext 2. For those not registered in the parish, information will be given on how to do so. This class is for all parents of their first child and/or those who have not yet taken Father Martin’s Baptismal class.
Fall Bible Study: Reflecting on Sunday’s Readings - Add to your Mass awareness with a Scripture study based on the upcoming Sunday readings. Join us for a closer look at the readings for six Sundays. This study will begin on Tuesday, September, 19th at 6:45pm in the Bride’s room at St. John’s
Save the date: “From Conflict to Communion” – Saint John’s will be hosting an ecumenical prayer service on Thursday, October 19th to thank God for increasing solidarity between Catholics and Lutherans. As you know, this year is the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Reformation. Please join us at 6:30 p.m. at St. John’s for an opportunity to pray with local Lutheran churches for ongoing reconciliation. This will not be a Mass, but a service with Scripture, prayer, and sacred music.
