Fellowship Meals at St. Vincent de Paul

Fellowship Meals at St Vincent St John’s Parish Family has the opportunity to aid the less fortunate in our area by serving a fellowship meal in the Gathering Room of St Vincent de Paul. Meals are served on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. St John’s Parish volunteers have been serving a meal the last Wednesday of every other month. Volunteers are also needed to serve the meal one Friday a month.. Following are the details in putting on a meal:
-Food is provided, often by KC’s, the hospital, and local businesses
-Duties include setting-up the room, heating the food, serving guests and cleaning-up.
-Volunteers are needed from 3-6:00pm with most help needed between 4:45-6:30.
-It is best to have 6 to 7 volunteers each night. Dates of future meals: Fri., Oct. 21st, Wed., Oct. 26th (contact Richard - 715-387-2763) Fri. Nov.18th and Wed., Nov.23rd. Please consider participating in this important, rewarding service. If you are able to help at any of these meals, please call Donna at 715-384-3080.

Thanksgiving Food Drive: Beginning on Sat., Oct. 29th and ending on Sunday, Nov.6th you can bring items for our Thanksgiving food collection. Please bring only non-perishable food items and no outdated food. There is a great need for personal care items, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, paper products, newborn diapers and wipes. Please call the parish office if you or someone you know could use assistance at this time. All is confidential. The items collected will be distributed to those in need in our parish, St. Vincent de Paul food pantry, the Hannah Center, & the Transitional Shelter. Thank you for your generosity towards this food drive!

4th Annual Pig Roast & Gun Raffle: Enjoy an evening of food, fun, fellowship and fundraising on October 25th at the KC Hall. The social will begin at 5:00pm with the dinner at 5:30pm. Tickets for the Pig Roast and raffle tickets will be sold after Masses the next few weekends as well as in the Parish office and at Hiller’s True Value Hardware. There is limited seating so don’t delay in purchasing your ticket. Proceeds will be donated to the Diocese of La Crosse Seminarians and future Sisters. Thank you for your support.

Pig Roast Silent Auction and Bucket Raffle: We are looking for donations (to be dropped of at Hiller’s True Value Hardware) of new items of any value small or large. A few suggestions but not limited to: hand crafted items, gift certificates, sport/event tickets, weekend getaway, themed baskets such as movie night, game night, etc. fishing package or monetary donations. Women at the Well (WAW) Will meet in St. Francis Hall on Thurs. Oct. 20th from 6:30-8pm. Questions? Call Judy at 715-305-2261.

In need of inspiration or experiencing Jesus' presence or healing? He will provide for your needs in ways we cannot always anticipate. Come be with Jesus in adoration at Pope Saint John Paul II Adoration Chapel, 510 S. Columbus Ave. Fridays at 9pm-10pm or Saturdays at 1am-2am are openings needed to be filled.     CONFESSION SCHEDULE
     Tuesday–Friday: 6:30 - 6:50 AM
     1st and 3rd Fridays: Confessions begin at 6:00*
     Saturday: 3:30 - 4:15 PM

    *Friday confessions begin at 6:00, but vary in duration

    PERPETUAL ADORATION:  The Marshfield Deanery has the St. John Paul II Adoration Chapel located in the lower level of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, at 201 W. Blodgett Street.
