Fr Martin
Pastor

Picture
Father Martin was ordained to the priesthood on June 26th, 1999.  Following his final year of studies in Rome, Father was assigned as chaplain and Theology instructor at Assumption High School in Wisconsin Rapids.  Two years later Father moved to La Crosse where he was put in charge of the Holy Cross Seminary House of Formation while also serving Aquinas High School as Chaplain and Theology instructor.  After nine wonderful years, Father was assigned to St. John's and Christ the King in Spencer.  Father is the second of five children and grew up on a farm in Crawford County.  Father Martin is grateful to God for this assignment and hopes to serve here for many years!

Mr Dan Kitzhaber

Picture
Dan Kitzhaber has been the Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministry at St. John the Baptist since the summer of 2000.  He began youth ministry in the late 80’s through involvement with the Teens Encounter Christ program where he eventually met his wife, Christy, who grew up at St. John’s.  They have been happily married since 1993 and have been blessed with six children: Veronica, Zechariah, Jeremiah, Rebekah, Catherine and Elizabeth.
